Ranked on the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller 2006 Gold List, the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge offers
a "classic bush experience".Set majestically high on a plateau that forms a natural boundary to the
unfenced Zambezi National Park, this westward facing deluxe lodge is just four kilometres from the
thundering Victoria Falls, Southern Africa's foremost tourist attraction.
Enjoying uninterrupted views of spectacular African sunsets and year round game at its on-site
waterhole, it is ideally positioned to offer the most discerning traveller a taste of Africa at its best. A
wonderful example of how modern hospitality can be melded with an authentic wildlife experience,
the lodge is also an ideal base for the Falls themselves and the many nearby attractions, offering guests
a complimentary shuttle service to one of the true natural wonders of the world.
Designed to give the impression of a vast open-plan tree house, the lodge is built on seven intricate
levels rising above the pristine African bushveld. Of the 72 bedrooms, six are split level suites with a
lounge, cloakroom and balcony on one level and a bedroom with en-suite bathroom upstairs. Decorated
in lavishly coloured ethnic fabrics and fittings, all rooms boast the highest level of sophistication and
comfort. Each has its own balcony overlooking the National Park whilst most look onto the natural
waterhole.
Attracting a wide variety of game including elephant, buffalo, antelope, warthog and baboon - as well
as the occasional lion, hyena and jackal - this waterhole is the focal point of the entire resort and
provides excellent game and bird viewing opportunities all day, every day.
In the Buffalo Bar, Makuwa-Kuwa Restaurant and pool deck, friendly Zimbabwean staff offer excellent
service and outstanding cuisine.
